Thirteen MHS juniors and seniors attended the Model United Nations conference at Harvard University this past weekend. The students were assigned to represent Honduras and spent a total of 20 hours, over four days, relaying Honduran policy to the best of their ability. Students collaborated with and learned from the nearly 3,000 other delegates who came from 108 countries.
Senior Rachel Freed, who represented Honduras in the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, was awarded the coveted Best Delegate award, one of only 30 total students to be recognized with this award. All the delegates from Melrose High School did an exceptional job representing both our city and the nation of Honduras. We are very proud.
