Hot Topics by Principal Strasnick • I will be sending home the results of last month’s parent surveys. The results were discussed at the last PTO meeting in February. Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey. There were a lot of great suggestions that I will definitely be following up on. • Please remember the district wide policy around no longer bringing in food for birthday celebrations, which is covered in the parent/student handbook. Please seek other ideas instead of cupcakes, cookies, popsicles, hoodsies, etc. Check with the classroom teacher for other ideas. • At the last PTO meeting I presented an idea for a website just for parents (created and maintained by me) that will hopefully give more detailed information regarding what’s going on at Horace Mann. I’ll be sending the link out soon so please keep an eye out for it. • On Monday March 15th we will be holding a fundraiser at Kelly’s on Route One. There will be more information coming home soon. • I also want to let everyone know that the best way to reach me is by phone. Emails are fine however I always get my phone messages. Thank you.
