BE: Time and Location of School Committee Meetings

The Committee will transact all business at official meetings that are posted in accordance with the Open Meeting Law and may be either regular or special meetings, defined as follows:

  1. Regular meeting:  the usual official legal action meeting, held regularly.
  2. Special meeting:  an official legal action meeting called between scheduled regular meetings to consider specific topics.

Regular meeting dates, times, and locations may be changed by a majority vote of the Committee as long as public notice is given and in accordance with Massachusetts General Law.

Special meetings may be called by the Chairman or at the request of any three members of the Committee.

Every meeting of the Committee, regular or special, will be open to the public unless an executive session is held in accordance with state law.
