The Committee recognizes that district employees have the same fundamental civic responsibilities and privileges as other citizens, including campaigning for an elective public office as well as holding an elective or appointed office.
In connection with campaigning, an employee will not:
- Use school facilities, equipment or supplies.
- Discuss his/her campaign with staff members or students during the workday.
- Use time during the workday for campaigning purposes.
- Pressure students into campaigning for any staff member.
