The district offers a diversified educational program compatible with the needs of the community and state standards. The organizational plan is designed to facilitate the philosophy of educating all students, each to his/her fullest potential.
The structure will consist of multiple levels. The Early Childhood level includes students ages three through five. The Elementary School level includes kindergarten through grade five. The Middle School level consists of grades six through eight. The High School level consists of grades nine through twelve.
Special education and English as a Second Language (ESL) services are integrated across each grade level in all schools.
The organization is designed to meet the standards established within the Curriculum Frameworks as required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and to serve the needs of all students.
The Committee appreciates that student transition between levels in the structure may require particular attention and the Superintendent will support those transitions, within budgetary and staff constraints, to the extent possible.
