Last year the PTO voted to establish a Target List to make the process of raising and spending funds more transparent. The Target List would include the Top 10 items the PTO hoped to fund in a given school year. Last year for instance the PTO targeted renovations to the all-purpose room and was able to meet that target.
Anyone affiliated with the school can submit an item to be considered for the Target List. To do so, a form must be filled out and submitted to the PTO. A Target List committee will review each form and determine if there is enough information for consideration by the entire PTO. If not, the committee might ask the submitter to acquire additional information such as price estimates. Once the committee is satisfied the proposal will join others and will be ranked by vote at the PTO meeting. Voting will establish the proposals the PTO feels should be prioritized for the school year .
The PTO is committed to fund items not listed as Targets. These include E-Camp scholarships, field trips and the golf tournament which raises a profit. Not all expenditures are listed on the Target List. However, this list does establish an agreed upon set of target expenditures the PTO hopes, with all of your help, to fund to improve our school and the experience of all our children.

The deadline for submission is January 22 , 2010.
