Through our Franklin Preschool Program, the Melrose Public Schools has prided itself on its commitment to Early Childhood Programming.  With the addition of the most recent health and safety guidelines strictly adhered to, we continue to maintain our reputation for excellence in providing a developmentally appropriate program for 3 and 4 year old children. Through collaborative, careful planning the Franklin's highly-qualified faculty and staff engage our District's youngest students in a positive, student centered, active, hands-on learning process using our comprehensive preschool curriculum that is aligned with the Massachusetts  Department of Elementary and Secondary Education PreK Common Core Standards. For the 2024-2025 school year we will continue our compliance with health and safety guidelines. Our plan for Franklin Preschool tuition based program is to offer enrollment in a two day, three day, or five day, 5 hour and 15 minute program.  We offer staggered arrival and dismissal times as follows; Group One 8:15-1:30 and Group Two 8:25 a.m. - 1:40 p.m. As with all Franklin programming options, the two day/three day will run based on enrollment numbers allowing the program to be self-sufficient.

DISTRICT CALENDAR The Franklin Early Childhood Center adheres to the Melrose Public School District calendar including vacation days, early release days, holidays & professional development days and other no school days determined by the Superintendent of Schools.
