Good afternoon Hoover Families,

Our first day of school is almost here. We have had a busy summer preparing the building for our Hoover Hawks. On Wednesday morning, we will be ready to greet all of our students for the 2023-2024 school year!

The weather for tomorrow is calling for rain. This can make arrival procedures difficult. Students will be coming directly into the building. Staff will be on hand to help direct students to the correct location.

Arrival 7:53-8:03:

Kindergarten students will enter through the modular units on the far left side of the school.

1st and 2nd grade will enter through the far right door. (Door #3  -not the main entrance).

3rd, 4th and 5th grade will be entering through the center doors.(Door # 4)

Drivers should not leave or park their vehicle in the “Drop-off Zone.” Adults must remain in their vehicles. If you wish to exit your vehicle or accompany your child to the entrance, you must park on a nearby side street.  The parking lot is for staff only.

Please pull all the way up toward the playground before letting off your student.

While we love our canine friends at Hoover School, please note that per city ordinance and in accordance with the Melrose Public Schools Elementary Handbook, dogs are not allowed on school property.

Dismissal is at 2:20 P.M.:

Students will be dismissed from the same doors which they entered.
